SNOT techniques

I was fiddling around in LDD and realized this would create a nice stud-reversal with no offset (most SNOT techniques rely on bracket plates and end up with some gaps) so I thought I'd start a topic devoted to the Studs Not On Top techniques we've found useful.

This technique uses a 1x4 brick w/groove and two 1x2 plates, modified, w/door rail slotted into the groove upside-down. Then, to show there is no offset, I merely put two 1x4 plates on the top and bottom of those 1x2 door rail plates.

Does the modified plate rail sit firmly in the groove ?

No, it does not sit 'firmly' as in 'secure' - that pieces is made to slide back and forth in the other one, so it's best to 'trap' the inverted segment between elements with a studs-up configuration. I generally have done this in a four-wide configuration with two of the 1x4 bricks upright and the slide plates upside-down between them.
