I love getting more ninja minifigures to buff my old samurai collection (as long as their costumes stay grounded in reality), but otherwise the Ninjago line is absolutely terrible IMO. And bloody expensive to boot.

I love the sculpting on the front of the 'Rattlecopter' and 'Fangpyre' - great stuff!

These wouldn't be horrible (I don't like them but they kind of interesting) except that they just seem very very odd to me, the whole them has a different vibe.

However I love the cheapest set. If it is really $7 instead of $10 I'll gladly pick up a few for the new "brick" brick.

I like the new snakes and some of the bad guys. I would pick the boat up at 30% off sale. The helicopter looks good for green parts too.

These sets are like power rangers feel to me, too. It is wierd linking motorcycle, jet, and batmobile to ancient ninja. I could bare with the boat set - 9446 Destiny's Bounty only.

I think the snake mini-figs are pretty cool. My 6-yr old son thinks these sets look awesome. So I guess LEGO marketing must be doing something right. ;)

Those do look cool.
Those will work well with pink space chicks from CMF 6.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

What!!!! no more dragons? Not even a water dragon? Like the ship but for that price... will just add some more for the Black pearl. Sorry LEGO... like the old them of Ninjago than the modern ships.. But I guess they are for kids.. hahahaha

I'm really digging those new snakes! And that go-cart needs proper wheels.

5 smallest sets now on TRU.com (though you can't order them....yet):

Rattlecopter for $34.99?! The red motorcycle for $17??!!!  Either its TRU tax or LEGO is getting greedy.

Until we know how many pieces each one has, we can't say if they're overpriced or not.

All the piece counts are there in the additional pictures.

Rattlecopter is 327 pieces, so $34.99 isn't really that outrageous. Just slightly above $0.10/piece. In fact, for NinjaGo in general, it's a pretty good price/piece ratio. Likewise, the motorcycle is 188 pieces for $16.99, which is BELOW $0.10/piece. With all the new pieces and old pieces in new colors in next year's lineup, that's really pretty good.

"Jay's Storm Fighter" is 242 pieces and the price is $24.99, which is reasonable. "Cole's Tread Assault" seems a bit out of proportion at $39.99 for 286 pieces, though there are a lot of large parts in that set. Even "Venomari Shrine" has 86 pieces for $7.99. These all appear to be TLG MSRP, as is the modus operandi at TRU - release before everyone else at MSRP, jack up the price to 'TRU Tax' once everyone else is selling them, then only actually sell them in any volume during BOGO50/B2G1F sales.
