Wow, I got 50% off on my mystery code! First time for that. Does anyone know if you can use it once in store and once on-line?

The printed coupon fine print says: This coupon can be redeemed only once per customer per billing address at any B&N retail store or online at BN.com.

I believe when you use it online it invalidates the code for future use instore. If you tried it, I'd do it online first and then take it to the store. If they say it's been used, play dumb and see if they honor it. But I think B&N has gotten smarter (for them) with these coupons to limit use.

me neither. Is it only if you are a B&N member? I only have the kids club.

It's NOT members only because I only got the e-mail on my secondary e-mail (husbands account) which is Kids club only (no paid membership). It is crazy, but I don't seem to receive e-mails for any promos on my e-mail account that is registered with my B&N paid membership. I've tried resetting my communication preferences to "yes, I want e-mails" and still get nada. I've tried calling to resolve it and it doesn't get fixed.

So I do get a heads up on non-member promos through my other e-mail account, but I wish I got a second one on my "real" e-mail account!

I got shipping confirmation for x-wing, tie fighter, and the heartlake vet. If B&N keeps this up they might be able to stay competitive in California. Especially when Amazon begins collecting CA sales tax on september 15.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed codes to this thread, it is VERY much appreciated. I bought most of the new Star Wars sets, plus some doubles. Since I am a B&N member, I could get free shipping on even a $10 order, so I used one code per purchase. Very cool sale on these new sets.

Well, I wasn't patient. I rushed out and picked up AC Earth Defense HQ (I haven't been finding those at 50% off at Wal-Marts like everyone else it seems). Got it for $40.47 + tax (10% member discount + the 50% off). Just got home and ordered Olivia's House for $31.48 + tax. Order seemed to have gone through with the discount. We'll see when I get a confirmation and when it ships.

EDIT: Just got order confirmation and notice that it's scheduled to ship tomorrow. Strange thing is the confirmation email shows $62.95 as the price. However according to my records in PayPal (which is how I paid), I have only been charged $33.67.

Sorry for the misinformation! It could be that there is a delay with the store register in somehow reporting the code is used. It does sound like it is better to go to the store first and then try to place the online order asap. Nice deal though!

Also, for the email offer for the mysterious % coupon, is the amount shown when you're checking out online the same as if you printed it off and went to the store? 'Cause with all the 2012 sets gone from online, I may just see what I can get with my awesome coupon at my local store instead.

Simple rule I follow - do not pre order

you know its going to be on more discount later on unless you have to have it when it first comes out and the differencen between 10% discount and 20-30% is not a big deal for you.

regardless whether there is a risk of cancellation or not, I would wait for the summer and the potential for additional coupons to use then. If no coupons to use then the lost is only 10% off.

Wow, glad I got on this yesterday. Just got shipping notice on the X-wing and Tie Fighter, waiting on notice for Olivia's house. Most amazing is this is the first time B&N hasn't flagged my order. They normally can't deal with the combination of a US cc and billing address, but delivery to Taiwan. I've had some long calls with them on their 800-number in the past (free for me but not for them thanks to Skype). Fingers crossed that I won't need to make any more calls to them.

Tried to order 7961 Sith Infiltrator and coupon codes won't work.
I looked at the item description and found it says this at the bottom:

Wonder if they're starting to flag some sets for no-coupon?

I believe all 2011 LEGO and earlier are not eligible for any coupons. They changed all the descriptions after some great 30% off coupons went floating around last year. So far it does not appear to have been applied to the 2012 sets they have added.
