Considering its a newly released set I'd say it is...but that still doesn't bring the price down enough for the size of the set or at least in my opinion it doesn't.

I'm going for this. I'm in California and Amazon will probably start collecting tax Sept 15th. It's a deadline for any decent deal purchase. It's about 19% discount compared to any MSRP post tax purchase.

That's exactly what I was waiting for. My son was so disappointed that the Lego store in Nashville didn't have Helm's deep. But if they would have, with tax, it would have cost over $140. I told him we would just order it from Amazon and get no tax and free shipping. I put it off last night and I'm thrilled that I did. Definitely picked this one up.

BTW, we did get the Orc forge and Uruk-Hai army sets, so we could get the free hulk fig.

It's a pity they've raised the price (of Helm's Deep) again now, but it's sure to go back down eventually :)

MoM is back up to full retail - $79.99. Looks like a lot of the LotR sets sold out from Amazon, many are above retail now.
