Amazon Lightning Deals 11/19

Went through the list and only came up with two today:

Duplo Leogville Deluxe train set at 10:59am Pacific

R2D2 C3PO watch at 5:59pm Pacific

Did I miss anything?

Duplo train is 74.99-they matched Target for price. When the deal went live for me there was no button-like a hiccup. When it finally appeared it said join waitlist and I am number 170. I wish I was in a grocery store at the deli counter and 164 was in front of me-at least I know I'd get what I wanted. :P

Have other people had the button not show up right away? This was my first time trying to get a deal there so it could just be the computer.

when i went to target website it quotes $99.99 for the duplo train, did you see it for $74.99 at target?

On Black Friday the train will be 74.99 at Target. I saw the train in the store yesterday-the store had 2 and I noticed the 99.99 price tag as well. I had noticed at Lego it is 119.99. So Target has at least one set below asking price. :)

Even though I was 170 I was invited to partake so now I am looking for a bridge and I will be done for my son-good tidings!

How much do you save with Lightning deals?

It really depends. For non-LEGO items, Amazon often claims a much higher MSRP...so when it goes on a lightning deal they can claim a massive discount.

For example, MSRP on some Blu-Rays is like $50. Retailers never actually charge that though, but it still allows Amazon to claim that $15 lightning deal is actually a 70% discount to entice buyers.

LEGO is going to be a bit different though, as Amazon seldom lists it at above MSRP when it's their stock. I would think 20-30% off would be about the best you could expect for any sets that make it to an LD before the end of the week.

Pretty much. The thing about lightning deals under $25 is they are meant to get you to add other products to your cart. It's not always about clearing out excess inventory. Non-prime members can only get free shipping when the order hits $25, so people will often toss a non-sale item they've been watching into their cart so they can hit the threshold.
