I just had a little incident yesterday at Barnes and Noble. I tried returning a small Lego set that was put on clearance but they wouldn't take it back. Maybe it's just because I have never had issues returning Clearance to Target or Walmart but this threw me off guard. I was simply told it was standard retail practice not to take back clearance items.
I was never aware of a policy or read a statement that said Barnes and Noble would not take back clearance items. Do they have such a policy?

Re: B&N clearance return policy?
It is more common than not for most retailers' clearance items to be 'as is' and/or final purchases, ineligible for return. That said, Walmart or Target will likely take the set back for store credit, or for exchange, if you absolutely do not want the set and want a way out.
