Tie Fighter at 36% off. Normally I don't buy Star Wars at anything less than 50% off since they are SO overpriced per piece, and mostly crappy gray pieces at that, plus a bunch of minifigs of characters I could care less about, but this is one of the few Star Wars models I actually like, so I bit.

Lot of nice parts, excellent and clever design, and I really like the robot and the pilot's helmet.
Plus it's an iconic ship, the Star Wars aesthetic of the good-guy ships works great in the film, not so great in lego where they tend to be awkward lumps of gray and ugly color schemes. The bad guys ships translate a lot better to LEGO, IMHO. The TIE ships, the Sith ships, they mostly look fairly cool, cool enough to pay closer to 10c a piece for. Normally I wouldn't pay over 6c a piece for a Star Wars set, which means 50% plus off. I paid almost full price for the Sith Interceptor, that's like unheard of for me on a star wars set, but it looks awesome and the minifigs are epic.

Did you buy 7965 Millennium Falcon? This ship is way more iconic than tie fighter. Will you pay over 6c per piece for other theme set?

No, I think it's hideous. I've passed it up on sale many times, and I wouldn't bite even at 50% off. The movie ship is iconic, the LEGO version, not so much for me. The UCS one is even worse, the prices it goes for shows me how crazy Star Wars collectors are.

I have paid full price or close to it for a lot of Ninjago. Fantastic sets with fantastic parts and minifigs, can't go wrong. I've bought a lot on deep discount too, of course.

Back on topic, the Fire Plane 4209 is 33% off right now, don't recall that being mentioned. About 7c a piece maybe?

I've always been able to do scheduled pickup for Amazon returns, though granted it's been a while since I've done one. Probably not worth the $8 to wait around for UPS / USPS either, though.
