Marshall's/TJ MAXX Clearance

Post by dho7622u » Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:05 pm

So, I posted this originally in the AVAILABILITY forum, but since I found some other stuff today, thought I would re-post here.

Now, the three stores I went to today were VERY different- but they are all are on the way down in price. But there were some great prices on some things. Big note tho: make sure that they rescan them for a lower price, I got an extra 25% off (from 30 ish to 50% of MSRP) on the price (red tag to yellow tag).

Prince of Persia:
Desert Attack- $5
Ostrich Race- $10
Fight for the Dagger- $15
Quest for time: $20

BUT:
Kings Carriage Ambush: $15....that was a big surprise. Been waiting to find that one for a while, so that made me happy.

There were a few strange Atlantis sets but didn't pay too much attention.

Good luck!

the POP (all 4) and Kings Carriage were pretty well represented at Cranston Marshalls: on RT5

There were a few Desert Attacks at the TJMAXX in the Target Plaza in Warwick.

I saw the Fight for the dagger in North Attleboro Marshalls/Old Navy plaza.

good luck- just make sure they rescan them before you cash out. The registers will not give you the current price.

Thanks. When u say rescan, the price at register doesn't match sticker.

No, you have to ask them to scan it with a pricing gun first, then it prints the new sticker. Then it will ring up the NEW price.

If it just goes to the register, it will ring the red price.

Ask if that is the correct price or if has been discounted further. That has happened for me too.

I guess I fell for it. You would think the new price would show up at checkout.

so i saw quest for time 29, ostridge race 12, fight for the dagger 20, and desert attack 5. I didn't get any tho it just wasn't good enough to bite. oh the4y also had toy story 3 town mine? set for 29 was a little shocked to see that. I had already picked up ostridge race a few weeks ago for 8 of amazon.

Folks in MA may want to check out the South Bay Plaza TJ Maxx. I had been checking this one for a while but today saw what must have been a return, Battle of Alamut at $44. May be cheaper if rescanned. We have one waiting to be built in the closet so I passed but I know these are harder to come by. We went with Gateway of the Squid for $15. It was red tagged at $20 but had missed a markdown. There was another one (open box, same price) in case anyone was looking. They also had some big Racers set for $49, Desert Attack for $6, some
Lotso set for $29, and Quest for Time still $29.

Worth noting: across the street at Target Toy Story Army Men Poly Bags were $1.19. We took about 3 and left 10. They are all around the registers.

I went to to TJ Maxxs today..one had no LEGO (Highland Ave. Newton, MA) and the other had POP (Stoughton). They had Ostrich Race for $5 (after I asked for a scan since it wasn't tagged). They had POP Quest for Time, but it was $29. I also saw a older pirates Krackin Attackin, but it was opened and stuffed with POP parts....weird.

People may want to check Quest For Time again. We picked it up for for $10 today after they looked up the price for me. This was the last LEGO set at this store. My jaw dropped. By far the best deal we've gotten at TJ Maxx.

Great find... wish LEGO lasted long enough to reach those kind of clearance prices in my area. The only time I get deals like that is when Wal Mart knocks everything to 50% off, but if you don't get to the store that day you're out of luck.
