[USA] ToysRUs LEGO Sale: February 26 - March 3
This week from February 26 to March 3, Toys R Us United States will be offering $10 off $50 on ALL LEGO (excluding Friends and Star Wars). Keep in mind that everything is marked up there.
If you are a Toys R Us Rewards Member, you may have received a catalog with a peel-off coupon that is valid from February 24 - March 17. This peel off coupon ranges from $10 off $50, $10 off $100 or 20% off one item. Try to see if you can stack it with this week's $10 off $50 LEGO sale!

Wouldn't let me stack my 20% rewards coupon so I walked. Was going to get the Dino HQ, as the sale owiuld take care of their stupid markup, but that was the only discount they would let me have. Pathetic

The coupon cancels the free shipping with orders placed online.
I also love the price changes on Lego games. For example: Ramses Pyramid was $14.99 online before last weeks BOGO. It changed to 19.98 during the BOGO and went back to 14.99 after it ended.
This is pretty much the case with all Lego games currently discounted.

Yeah, I gave TRU a chance, as my grocery store gives me a discount on gas for gift card purchases, so when they were cheaper then MSRP, TRU saved me on my legos and filling up my tank, but with crap like this, I'm pretty much done with them. Last week they were out of one of the two sets I wanted that worked out well for the BOGO 50% off in store, and the other was out online. Once I've used up the remaining gift card balance I've got, unless they have a remarkable sale, I'll stick to Target and Wal-Mart, who stick pretty close to MSRPTimetempest wrote:The coupon cancels the free shipping with orders placed online.

Just wanted to chime in.
TRU deals can still be found where MSRP isnt marked up to high heaven.
Ninjago Fangpyre Truck is probably the best value for $40 currently.
Its MSRP is 49.99, $10 off $50.
I dont want to brag here but you can break up the set and sell the contents for $100.00 (2 snakes, vehicles and 2 ZX ninja.
Fangpyre truck is impossible to find but TRU across the nation just restocked 4 on Thursday. Most TRU still have them in stock. 9445 is out of stock at LS@H.
As always with TRU, just got to find the good deals!
City Space Shuttle $29.99 (at most B&M stores at MSRP)
lol thats the 2 off the top of my head I saw today. so maybe not a lot of deals.
I know Fangpyre truck isnt on everybody's most wanted listed but it is the top selling Ninjago vehicle besides Kai's motorcycle.
The fact that TRU hasnt marked it up yet is awesome.
Just a few weeks ago, TRU had a BOGO 50% off sale. A few stores still had Lightning Dragon Battles in stock. For $60 each(after Bogo), the set was a steal. Its up to $175 currently... going up about $10 a week.
Im just saying. Use TRU for the good deals, and to support your hobby. We all know TRU is a greedy corporation but those of us that live in USA are very lucky to have such good deals and sales all the time.
consider those outside of the USA that have to pay ridiculous prices for anything lego and we are fortunate indeed.
In america, you can make a living parting out Ninjago sets.. how awesome is that>?

The new offer (see next post) of the case is pretty lame. Bring on the BOGO!

Not sure who to complain to about their online store, but taking pictures of the changing prices at a B&M and submitting to your state attorney general or consumer protection group could land TRU in hot water.Timetempest wrote:The coupon cancels the free shipping with orders placed online.

I really don't think you can do much about online...Amazon changes their prices any given second up or down...and the games in question(I keep a good eye on them) were marked at x and discounted, they then dropped the regular price and lessened the percent of the discount. They never changed the regular price up and down...only down, but the percentages off changed. Now I do not agree with TRUs practices, but I think they are savy enough to * cautious shopers off, but the clueless shoppers are exactly that...clueless. They obv feel they make more off the clueless than the dedicated.
