Lego Manhattan NYC
Lego Manhattan NYC
I will be in Manhattan on vacation this week - I plan on visiting the standards (Lego store, TRU times square, FAO, etc.) I wonder if anyone knows any other good sources of lego on the island? Small toy shops? Any good collectibles shops? Tips anyone else has from living there or visiting?

Re: Lego Manhattan NYC
The Lego store at Rockefeller center was a tiny let down for me. Seemed small inside. But, when I was there they had the store promo duplo bricks and poly bag apple. So those unique finds for me made it worth it. Also, I think I had to wait or there was some register issue so they gave me a free orange Minifigure. I forget but it was a special offer at one point. Have fun!

thanks! I read about the new statue of liberty polybag that is an exclusive there - so im hoping they have it in stock! Im also curious to compare their selection to the TRU and FAO (knowing of course the prices are a bit higher b/c its nyc). I wonder also if there are any collectible type stores that may specialize in rare finds.
Re: Lego Manhattan NYC
I'm not sure if they still have the statue of liberty polybag but it was a real disappointment. If you plan to hit TRU or Fao Schwartz, be ready to be fleeced. If you are into comics, you can go to midtown comics. They have toys there but never seen any Legos. If you are driving, Toywiz is by me.

I was just at the Rockefeller store and they still have the Statue of Liberty set. It's cute, but not for $5.50...
